We are offering you a very lovely piece by Théodore Gudin, who, in 1830, was the first to be named “official painter of the navy”.
This painting depicts a boat with fishermen / strollers at sunset, on a sunny day and at low tide
As usual, we recognise the subtle brushstrokes used by Gudin to paint the mast and sail of the boat, the very characteristic characters and the “yellowish-orange” that one often finds in paintings by this artist.
The panel measures 17 x 10.5 cm - and the golden wooden frame 34 x 28 cm.
In very good condition.
Signed “Gudin” at bottom right.
The work can be shipped worldwide, with insurance, and very well protected.
