Tribal Persian Baloch carpet, 77 x 56 cm
Mid or third quarter of the 20th century, hand-knotted by a tribal nomadic weaver of the Baloch people from the Iranian part of Baluchistan, in the border region of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The carpet is in good, used condition, with an even medium to low pile made of soft wool.
Traditional, rare "scorpion with two stingers" (as opposed to the much more common "boteh") pattern in full, warm colours.
Original edges, complete and intact, the wool edge finish reinforced here and there.
Original ends, complete and intact with the original finish, in good condition.
Slighty firm yet supple texture.
The carpet has been cleaned and is ready to be used.
