Unusual collector's watch in fine gold case with unique back enamel showing a harbour scene with fishermen.
Watch of exceptional quality.
Solid case in full, top quality visual condition. Painted enamel back. Fine scene (no damage). Wonderful pearl decor on the back cover
Both on the bezel and back cover is a circlular garland with leaves.
Watch hallmarked on pendant - At least 18 kt.
Elegant enamel dial with Roman numbers and Arabic minute markers - Baroque original hands with luscious playfulness. Signed Rouzier. Winding mechanism at two o'clock. Wind-up damaged and restored otherwise beautiful condition.
The watch is in overall nice condition. The back side is in very nice condition.
Winding key is included.
Fiery gold-plated movement with spindle gear above fusee and chain - functional - made around 1780. Fine movement composition. Nice round pillars. Fine spindle brackets with incorporated fantasy pattern, disc for speed regulation in silver. Signed Rouzier & Melly a Paris
Watch diameter 35mm - height 12mm - total length with pendant 53mm - weight 34g.
