Swiss-made watch

Unusual verge watch in a heavy silver casing with an alarm movement striking a bell.

56 mm in diameter without crown - with: 75 mm Height: 25 mm - weight: 155 g

Original casing in beautiful condition.

Clean fluting on the sides. Additional fluting on the back lid and on the bezel.

Fine white dial. Enamel - very good condition. Arabic numerals. Line indices. Blued steel hands, finely made. Two windings for alarm movement and timekeeping movement. Alarm hand from the centre - adjustment with the crown (rare).

Comes with winding key.

With solid fire-gilded plates, verge escapement behind a separate metal dust lid. Round, floral verge cock with a beautiful look. Large adjusting screw in silver for the speed of the movement.

Inner lid with silver bell - fine, floral engraving of a central flower on the outside.

Movement and alarm work.

The watch was manufactured in Switzerland around 1790.
