The 1224 was delivered to the Dutch state Railways in 1951 by Werkspoor. It was one of three locomotives from the 1200 series painted with striking ‘’spectacles’’ and the typical front-nose. These locomotives were in service in this type of livery up until 1957.
5-piece set consisting of an NS electric Locomotive Number1224 in brown livery with 4 different Dutch freight cars.
The locomotive is fitted with a digital sound decoder with various sound functions with digital control.
