Jan Jacob Slauerhoff (Leeuwarden, 15 September 1898 - Hilversum, 5 October 1936), author's name J. Slauerhoff, was one of the most important Dutch poets and novelists of the interwar period.
He used the pseudonym “John Ravenswood" twice, namely in his collections East Asia (1928) and Mo yang ke (1930). After his death, several works appeared under other names, such as "J.J. Slauerhoff". (source: Wikipedia)
