Meissen - Goblet vase - Blue Indian flower painting - Gilt, Porcelain

Description
Meissen - Goblet vase - Blue Indian flower painting - Gilt, Porcelain
Germany - After 1934

Even during the time of Augustus the Strong (1670-1733), the white gold of Meissen was decorated with blue Asiatic motifs. Its depth and radiance are emphasised by the sumptuous and delicate gold-painted brocade. As if engraved, the most exquisite floral decoration suffuses the matt gold, fundamentally baroque splendour with modern painting techniques; the epitome of perfection.
