Authentic WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy officer katana (Navy Kai Gunto). The blade was forged in Okayma (between 1926-1945, no date on the nakago) by gendai blacksmith Yasutsugu, signed (tachi may) "Bitchu no Kuni Aoe ju Yasutsugu". The blade has original WW2 polish, shows fine scratches and stains. There are no visible forging mistakes, no crack or chip and "cutting edge" is sharp, "Chu-Suguha" Hamon with deep temper in the point, "Ubu Nakago", Motogasane ": 7 mm, "motohaba" : 3.2 cm, length "nagasa": 65.8 cm, total length in koshirae: 96 cm. The koshirae shows signs of wear. An original Navy officer tassel completes the sword!
