Patinated spectre figure of a boules player, title "Joueur de boules (Pointeur) made by Frabrication Francaise Paris, Made in France. They are a bronze patinated spelter. The foundry mark is crucible for pouring molden metal, set upon flames. Manufactured from 1892-1915. Height 52cm.
Figure of a boules player-pointer in a XVIII century dress and hairstyle, some signs of wear and discolouration, otherwise in a good condition.
Boules, French Jeu De Boules, also called Pétanque, French ball game. It is thought to have originated about 1910, but it is based on the very old French game of jeu Provençal.
