Description: a gold ring with a double-band hoop, a bezel with beaded-wire edges, granules at the shoulders topped with an intaglio carnelian and engraved with an axe, a symbol of legal authority.
Provenance: Comes from a private English collection acquired in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Material: Gold + carnelian
Dating: 1st century BC
Size: 20.46mm x 21.09mm (external) , 17,13mm x 17.81mm (internal) - 2.75 g
