1949 Moulin Touchais - Loire - 1 Bottle (0.75L)
Sweet wine - France

Note: I am on vacation the entire month of August. If the lot is auctioned during this period, it can be sent early September!

Auctioneer's note: Authenticity confirmed by producer

Moulin Touchais has a wonderful balance between sweetness and acidity with the result that the wine is not overly sweet because the fresh, fruity residual acids keep it nicely balanced. The aftertaste is very strikingly long and graceful due to the soft acid of the Chenin Blanc.

These wines come from the Coteaux du Layon in the Loire region and are made from Chenin Blanc grapes. The Chenin Blanc grapes are harvested late and the wine is always bottled immediately after the winter so that the wine retains its freshness. The bottled wine is always stored by Moulin Touchais in the maturing cellars for more than 10 years. The Chenin Blanc grape is excellent for the elderly, so the wine can last for many years.
