These kinds of traditional masks of the Djimini or the Ligbi appear during great religious festivities: the breaking of the fasting at Ramadan, Aïd el Kebir (Sheep Feast) or on other occasions.
The eyes are closed. The headdress presents two horns. The mask is related to the cult of the Dô.
