Charles Pillivuyt - Wild Paté Terrine "Haas" (1) - Porcelain

Description
Charles Pillivuyt - Wild Paté Terrine "Haas" (1) - Porcelain
France - First half 20th century

Fantastic antique French Pillivuyt porcelain terrine with a lid of "hare" (glazed ceramic with hunting theme).

The terrine is made of "Porcelaine à Feu" (baked porcelain) which is confirmed by the hard, glassy, white layer. The lid has a factory made perforation to release steam.

Marked on the basis with "Pillivuyt" stamp. Pillivuyt & Cie is an ancient and very famous porcelain factory in the middle of France in Mehun-sur-Yerre.

This white terrine with the "hare" is the rarest of them all. It is very difficult nowadays to find one in such a perfect condition on the market.

Very decorative item in excellent condition.

Will be carefully packaged and sent by registered mail.
