A magnificent sculpture of a lady sitting on a rock with a mandolin.

The work is titled 'Mignon' and is made in extreme detail from fine quality bronze.

Because of the mandolin and the title of the sculpture makes this possibly a reference to the eponymous opera by Ambroise Thomas (1866).

Made with great craftsmanship by Hippolyte Francois Moreau (1832-1927).

Origin: France.

Dating: around 1900.
