Very beautiful and very detailed painted early 18th century painting of a hilly landscape with houses, houses, figures and a dog.
Painted very colourfully on canvas, for the early 18th century. The surface of the painting has been treated with red clay, which indicates an origin from Belgium or Germany.
A signature was not found but it does not devaluate the painting. Many paintings from this period are not signed. The painter is clearly well educated.
A very attractive and interesting painting of the time around 1700-1720 in a beautiful condition. A large part of the original hand forged nails is still included.
There are no visible restorations. Framed in a nice, old frame.
