Sculpture, Standing Classic male figure, probably a philosopher - Bronze - Second half 19th century

Beautiful 19th century bronze statue of a standing classical male figure at a pillar, presumably a philosopher. Although not signed, this bronze is a very good example of the great skill of the sculptor who made this piece. Very well casted and detailed and with a beautiful dark patina, absolutely of a very good quality. In very good condition as depicted, no repairs and about 36.5 cm high, in total. It no longer has its marble base, which is also the reason that the piece you see is not attached to the bronze because it was attached to the marble. But this is NOT a damage, I hope this is clear in my photos.
