A beautiful signed, gilted bronze figurine, on marble base, of a young woman carrying a picnic basket, wearing a bonnet, blouse and skirt, bare feet on rocks.
Measures approximately 15 3/4" in height, including base. Weighs approximately 11 lbs.
In excellent condition with slight chip to rear of marble base, as seen in photo.
Edouard Drouot was born in Sommevoire-France in 1859 and studied in Paris under Thomas and Mathurin Moreau.
He won a medal at "the Salon of 1892" and received an honourable mention on the Exposition Universelle of 1900.
