The Bougouni Style
In the central and southern region of the Bamana country, these vertically shaped crest-masks are composite. These are formed by an assemblage of motifs taken from different animals, added to one another, and mounted on a quadruped with bent legs. The mane is often stylised in a zigzag shape.
