The kingdom of Kuba is famous for its Helmet masks. This type of mask highly decorated with beads, raffia, cowry shells, brass,... is characteristic of the Bwoom Bushoong masks, subgroup of the Kuba.
The nose is wide, the eyes surrounded by beads, the beard is represented by raffia fabric decorated with cowry shells. This mask is supposed to represent a pygmy.
