Andrea Marchesini was born in Verona in December ‘73, and art is in his blood, when he was just four years old he began to attend his mother’s studio.
He graduated from high school with a degree in science, and in the meantime he attended artist’s studios.
In ’92, after a trip to Amsterdam, he is intrigued by Van Gogh’s paintings and his material and revolutionary brushstroke. He enrolled in the Faculty of Law in Ferrara and he finally quit it for art. He lived for six years in London, while studying and attending museums and art exhibitions, and in particular the Tate Gallery, fascinated by the modernity of Turner’s work who will bring him back to an old passion with his paintings of pure light.
