Good sculpture depicting a South Sea islander. A subject which is not so rarely in Netsuke. This elder skinny man is wearing the typical reed coat. His hair is curled and he stands on one leg.
A rather old piece made of dark wood (probably ebony)
18th c.,
Hight 10,5 cm.
Provenience: Old Japanese collection
Good condition and nice patina by much wearing
Well packed and sent with Deutsche Post registered and insured
