Description de la grotte de Versailles
An ornate pillar in the grotto of Thetis, Versailles, with two tritons, one blowing a conch, the other carrying a dragon, both with body covered with scales and ending into two tails, and standing on each side of a large shell carved in marble; above the shell, a pebble mosaic representing Louis XIV's initials, entwined and crowned, and a head made of shells surmounted by a basket of flowers; second state, with plate number. 1673
