Lovely monochrome Iranian bowl in fritted siliceous ceramic with intensive turquoise blue glaze with flared belly and curved rim. Dating from 18th century, it is likely from a Gorgan workshop.
Not broken and glued, nor cracked or split and restored in any way, this bowl is in remarkable condition given its age. There are two miniscule chips that are undoubtedly historical on the rim. To note also a colour in the glazing, visible in the photo. Beautiful cracking in the base of the bowl.
Characteristic of the era of monochrome ceramics without decoration, it is an object of great rarity due to its condition.
