Description
9kt Yellow gold - Early 20th Century Brooch Bloodstone
Size: 48mm x 40mm - Total weight: 11.64 g

Antique ornate 9kt gold bloodstone brooch.
This brooch has no hallmarks but tests as 9kt gold.
This brooch is late 19th century to early 20th century.
You will find when collecting antique gold jewellery that prior to 1906 not all gold was hallmarked.

This has a thin slice of oval bloodstone. There are a couple of tiny scuff marks on the stone which can be seen in the photos but it is not noticeable unless you hold it up to the light in a certain way.

The bloodstone is held in by 10 tiny claws and surrounded a beautifully ornate gold frame.

The brooch has an open back. There is a hinge for the pin and there you can see soldering which is a silver colour. The pin is very long and is held in by a very basic “C” clasp. The pin extends past the brooch .

The brooch measures approx. 48mm x 40mm.

This will come in a leatherette box.

Your brooch will be tracked, insured and signed for by Royal Mail.
