Ernesto Treccani (Milan 1920 – 2009) was the son of the Senator Giovanni Treccani degli Alfieri, founder of the Treccani Institute; thanks to his father, at the age of 18, he manages the magazine ‘Corrente’. Around the magazine, will gather a group of anti-fascists and Avant-garde artists and intellectuals, (Guttuso, Birolli, Migneco, Saber), in contrast with the group of Novecento. Treccani deals with various themes during his painting activity, the urban and industrial landscape of Milan and Paris.
Large canvas dedicated to the victims of the massacre of Piazza Fontana. During his life, he travelled a lot, exhibiting his artworks throughout Italy and all over the world (Paris, London, New York, Moscow).
