Portrait of the architect Jacob van Campen (1596-1657). Van Campen designed the palace on Dam Square, the Mauritshuis and Paleis Noordeinde.
Etching and engraving by an unknown maker. The Netherlands - Ca. 1650
Very special is that this portrait is hand coloured. It most likely concerns an 18th century colouring.
Good condition Paper with creases, somewhat dirty, margins slightly frayed, with a few small tears. At the bottom is a repaired tear that reaches the caption. Verso: blank.
