The 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, officially known as the XXV Olympic Games, were an international multisport event held in Barcelona, Spain, between 25 July and 9 August 1992. This edition involved 9,356 athletes – 6,652 men and 2,704 women – from 169 national committees. These are the second Olympic Games held in a Spanish-speaking country, as the first were held in Mexico 1968.
Antoni Tápies i Puig, I marquis of Tàpies ( Barcelona, 13th of December 1923 – ibidem, 6th of February 2012) was a Spanish painter, sculptor and theorist of the Spanish art. One of the world's leading exponents of informalism, he is regarded as one of the most outstanding Spanish artists of the 20th century. The work of the Catalan artist enjoys a study and conservation centre at the Antoni Tàpies Foundation in Barcelona.
