Info about the Porsche;
The Porsche 911 RSR 2.1 Turbo participated in the Group 5 category of FIA’s World Championship for Makes in 1974. Herbert Müller and Gijs van Lennep also took second place during the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1974. The 911 also looks monstrous with its huge wing.
The six-cylinder engine had a magnesium crankcase, polished titanium connecting rods, large-capacity oil pumps, dual ignition, mechanical fuel injection and cooled intake valves. That combination proved potent. 500 hp potent, even. And remember: This was in 1974. The five-speed transmission passed on the power to a 20 percent slip differential.
In order to get and keep all the power on the road, the 911 had to be wider. And take a look: The wheels are almost completely outside the original body boundaries. While you are at it, hire a contractor to broaden your garage.
Only four Porsches 911 RSR 2.1 Turbo were ever built. This 911, with the R13 chassis, was by far the most successful. It has its original jacket with incredible patina. It is estimated that it should yield almost 7 million euros.
