This work by Eugenio Giacobini is a clear pictorial expression of this artist.
Lover of the landscapes of the Valley of Aosta, Vercelli area, and the Loire.
His first teacher was his father Pierre Giacobini, a portraitist and landscape artist.
Inspired later by Francis Blin, who worked in Brittany and follower of the painters of Barbizon.
Francis Blin clearly influenced Giacobini, who for twenty years painted landscapes with both oil and watercolour.
This landscape is one of his well-preserved works, first canvas and in a gilded coeval frame.
Signed on bottom right, no restorations or old retouching.
A perfect canvas, never restored and in excellent condition.
