Chess game 'the Battle of Waterloo’.
The chess pieces are in a wooden cassette, the cover of which also serves as chess board.
Size cassette/board: 35 cm by 35 cm and about 7 cm high.
The pieces consist of a copper base with a band of enamel, and sculptures of tin. The king is 6 cm high and the pawn is 4 cm high.
Each figure is carefully and very detailed crafted from tin by the Franklin Mint.
Issued by the Waterloo museum in 1984 in collaboration with Franklin Mint.
