Jan Bevort (John Bevort) (1917 - 1996) - Poldergezicht

Description
Jan Bevort (John Bevort) (1917 - 1996) - Poldergezicht
Oil on canvas - Hand signed - ca 1945

A large polder view signed by Jan (John) Bevort (1917-1996). The work is painted with the greatest details. For example, a church and mills can be seen in the distant background. Given the signature, it is one of his early works.

The painting is in reasonable condition, but should ideally be restored. The work is mainly very dirty and deserves a cleaning. In the upper left corner, the beautiful bright colours of the work are well visible.

Due to the vulnerability and size of the painting, pick up in DELFT, NETHERLANDS is preferred, but registered and well-packaged shipping is also possible.

"Bevort settled around 1960 in Schoorl, North Holland
is therefore known as "the Schoorl painter". His work has been exhibited in, among others, the United States and Germany. He was a member of the International Organization of Free Art and teacher of well-known painters such as Gerard Ernens and Peter Brouwer.
