Bohemia or Austria, circa 1900 - Yellow gold 250/1000 pendant = normal gold, 333 yellow gold chain - pendant, necklace - 3.50 ct garnet
Size: pendant length 34 cm, chain length 51 cm - total weight: 2.7 g

The antique cross pendant is made of 250/1000 yellow gold = normal gold = quarter gold hallmark on the fixed eyelet. This alloy was very common in Austria and Bohemia for garnet jewellery around the turn of the century and so approved by law.
The pendant is in the shape of a Latin cross and set with 11 round and oval faceted, blood-red, Bohemian garnets in antique rose cut, complete and original. The middle garnet is held by a millegrain setting.
The pendant is hung in a gold chain in 333 yellow gold, which is held by a spring ring lock
