Amaranth-Roslyn Ehrenhalt studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Art, where she later became a teacher. She obtained a scholarship from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She travelled and exhibited her works in France, Spain, North Africa, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Germany, England, Turkey, Greece and the United States. She moved to France around 1975. She lived in Bagneux. She is part of the school of abstract expressionism. She is currently living in New York.
