Will McBride was known for being extremely careless with his photographic prints. He travelled across Europe, carrying his photographs in a folder and presenting them to museums and collectors, and the photographs inevitably got creases from this.
Good condition, traces of wear, minimal chips,
a 2 cm long tear on the upper edge, a longer crease on the bottom.
Beautiful, rare and very large print.
This photo was published in several books by Will McBride, i.a.
in “Will McBride. 40 Jahre Fotografie” Published by Peter Weiermair, Kunstverein Frankfurt, 1987.
The photo is one of the most famous and important photos by Will McBride
from his early days in Berlin.
