The Bété mask is an artistic and cultural figure from the Bété ethnic group of Côte d'Ivoire.
The Bété are part of the Krou group located in the mid-west of the country. The territory is spread over three departments: Daloa, Issia and Gagnoa.
The very impressive Bété masks are used during funeral rituals, during mourning or in honour of a prominent person.
