Gérard Dou or Gerrit Dou or Dow, born on 7 April 1613 in Leiden and died on 9 February 1675, is a Dutch artist-painter.
A representative of the Leiden school, formed by Rembrandt, some works are attributed to a joint work between the two artists. Gérard Dou's paintings are always small in size, extremely meticulous, depicting scenes topped by an arched frame.
