Early Permian (285 million years) - Brno, Boskovice, Czech Republic.
This is a well preserved Discosauriscus, a Permian amphibian of the Seymouriamorpha order. It is found in the basin of Boskovice in the Czech Republic. Specimens from this site are often preserved with fantastic details due to rapid death and burial in anaerobic (low oxygen) conditions. This specimen in particular shows an excellent conservation of the entire body and it stands out in a magnificent way on the lighter coloured matrix.
