Wonderful antique Shirvan Ganjeh carpet.
Origin: the village of Shirvan, located near the South-Western shore of the Caspian Sea and the district of the same name in the Southern part of Azerbaijan Production method: woollen warp and weft for the ancient rugs, wool or cotton for those produced between 1850 and 1930, and totally cotton for the modern production. The pile is in close-cut wool. Modern production usually features a higher number of knots compared to older and ancient rugs.

This has been kept well and is in perfect condition.
