A beautiful and large etching by Etienne Bosch with nice scenes of getting into the boats on the Canal Grand at rich palaces or townhouses.
The Canal Grande (Grote Kanaal) is the most important canal in Venice and Italy. Approx. 30 and 70 metres wide. It is originally the course of an old river, possibly a branch of the Brenta, which was located between the swampy islets on which Venice was built later. Since the Middle Ages, it is the central waterway of the city.
Along the Canal Grande are many palaces, such as Ca' Dario, Palazzo Vendramin-Calergi, Palazzo dei Camerlenghi, Ca' Pesaro, Ca' d'Oro, Ca' Rezzonico and Palazzo Vernier dei Leoni with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
There are also several churches, of which the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute is the most spectacular one.
Will be packaged with care and shipped insured by Post.nl, or can be collected in Groningen.
