The 100 original illustrations date from 1930 to 1937, the period in which Picasso drew the complete series, a commission from Vollard, the art dealer.

Tracked international parcel

Sometimes, the artist draws a sign or figure on the edge of the lithography stone or plate to test the acid’s behaviour. This sign is usually destroyed before printing, but sometimes this detail remains, not only on the test print but on the whole print series. The above mentioned sign is a typical case.
This auction is an opportunity to acquire this rare and numbered work, Arches Bütten. A rarity which is long out of print, in very good condition, kept in a portfolio.
