A costly and labour-intensive rare object made by Willem Coenraad Brouwer around 1905 in his own workshop in Leiderdorp.
This jug is made by means of the sgrafitto technique with abstract decoration on both sides.
Brouwer was unique in that time and therefore, all large museums have included copies in their collection. Examples can be seen in the Rijksmuseum and Boijmans van Beuningen, among others.
The object is in original condition and free of damage, only the spout has 2 tiny chips.
A must for the collection of an experienced collector.
