The mischief leading to penance.
In the middle a penitent is following Divine Mercy (Misericordia Dei) to the personicifica Repentance (Poenitentia) who sits on a throne under the Tetragram. A devil (Peccatum) is trying to stop them. He is looking under the dress of the Divine Mercy.
This is the Title print of a series on penance and repentance in the Old and New Testament. This is the most interesting engraving of this series.

Very good dark impression, in very good condition, some stains of aging. Printed on laid 16th century paper with 1 mm margins.
