Old Caucasian rug in wool with cotton weft, hand-knotted with the best fibres and natural dyes, characterised by a fleece which is neither too high nor too low, shiny and precise, with vivid colours. Iconographies with three floral medallions, a clearly defined geometric frame and a variety of symbols of zoomorphic origin: goats, sheep, peacocks and roosters. The animals were traditionally associated with certain magical powers, whose specificity derived from the behavioural characteristics of each of them. The main colours range from turquoise, very deep red, white and it has a lot of resistance. Origin: Villa Contarini di Monselice (Padua).
