Jean Michel Folon - Monte-Carlo Travel Market - 2004

Description
Jean Michel Folon - Monte-Carlo Travel Market - 2004
Poster - Travels - France

Jean-Michel Folon (Uccle, 1 March 1934 - Principality of Monaco, 20 October 2005) was a Belgian illustrator, painter and sculptor.

This work was made for the poster of the Montecarlo Travel Market fair, in January 2005; it was then printed in lithograph in 600 copies, of which the one at auction is the No.541

《Were does Mr. Folon's little blue man live? He lives in a dense landscape of watercolour paintings, between vague mountains like theatrical backdrops, and colourful deserts. He is lonely, desperately lonely. The horizon is confused for him, as in an early myopia: the contours fade decided in the indefinite. The water bathes the colour and makes it slip, it mixes it in eternally changing spots.》
