Italy - 1990-1999 - Aluminium

AN ITEM SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS OF ITALIAN DESIGN.

Philippe Starck Alessi 'Juicy Salif' citrus juicer in cast aluminium.

Citrus juicer in revolutionary shape which allows for positioning the glass directly below the structure where the liquid is squeezed out

The manual Juicy Salif citrus juicer has become an iconic design accessory of the 20th century and a symbol of Philippe Starck and Alessi production. A small kitchen appliance which was outlined in its essential features by Philippe Starck, who designed it during a holiday in Livorno - precisely, on the Italian island of Capraia on the Tuscan archipelago - while in a pizzeria with friends, tasting the delicacies of the area. He sketched the design for the citrus juicer on a serviette from the pizzeria, then perfected and subsequently produced and marketed by Alessi a short time later.

A lovely piece of Italian design to be displayed.

The citrus juicer will be carefully packaged and shipped with registered post with tracking.
