2) Eames, Holland and Peter's Petersfield (Hampshire) copper Halfpenny - 1793 Obverse: mounted dragoon with sword trotting to the left on horseback Reverse: a stork on a strip of swampy land: 'Promissory Halfpenny 1793'
Side of the coin: Eames Holland and Andrews Petersfield This mark served three merchants in Petersfield Already in 1860 there was a Henry Eames, a watchmaker, in the city, but there no longer seems to be a trace of the other two
D&H Hampshire Diameter 28.7 mm Weight: 13.48 grams
