Glazed earthenware ear vase (bottle vase) (mod. 4001)
With inlaid decoration in blue.

The vase is in beautiful condition.

Christiaan "Chris" Johannes van der Hoef (born 11 October 1875 - the Hague, March 5, 1933) was a Dutch artist. He was a sculptor, construction sculptor, graphic artist, poster designer, medallist, draughtsman, ceramist, and ornamental artist.
From 1888 onwards, Van der Hoef was an apprentice sculptor at studio Van den Bossche and Crevels in Amsterdam. In 1898 he joined the earthenware factory Amstelhoek, from 1903 to 1910 he worked at De Woning Amsterdam, Zuid-Holland Gouda, Haga Purmerend and Amphora Oegstgeest.
