Masaki Kazushi was born in Osaka Japan, started painting at age 7 and continued through high school. He was an abstract expressionist early on chastised by his elementary teachers for his dreamy non-realist work.
In college his artistic nature asserted and he became a baker instead of an artist. In the following years he collected art, wishing he had created what he collected.
His late career, Kazushi began working from memory and his imagination rather than from direct observation. He used broader touches of paint, and began to produce numerous abstract landscape formations with a mysterious vision that evokes a peace of mind.
He and his family lived in Osaka for a time before eventually moving to French Riviera and Belgium, where Kazushi continued to develop his craft.
