A very rare Chinese (Changsha kiln, Hunan Province) shallow earthenware bowl presumably intended for the Arabic market, Tang dynasty (618-907), ca 826, ca 5.3 cm. high and 15.1 cm. Ø.
Excavated (in 1998-1999) from the 'Billiton' ship wreck about one mile from the coast of Billiton (Indonesia), with remarkable polychrome decoration in iron oxide of spirals and circle parts, degradation of glaze and decoration.
