Jade has been a material of the highest value in China, prized for its beauty and magical properties.
The object in the photos is a multi-color (white, yellow, brown) Jade (one of the best kind of Nephrite) hand curved sculpture of a image of a Chinese/Japanese monster.
The sculpture is owned by its previous owners/collectors, and possibly been past on since 18-19th century, unsure, but in very good condition, see photos.
